Sleman Regency, a key contributor to Yogyakarta’s Gross Domestic Regional Product (GDRP), is home to a large farming population. However, agricultural productivity has been declining due to climate change, excessive use of chemical fertilizers, and poor waste management. By 2020, soil organic matter had dropped to just 1.2%, leading to a 15-20% decrease in crop yields. This project will establish a biochar production facility in Sleman, utilizing coconut agricultural waste to produce bio-fertilizer and bio-oil for local farmers.

Wood Probolinggo Project
A leading plywood producer in East Java generates 3,960 tons of wood chips and sheet waste per month from its factory in Probolinggo Regency. Currently, the waste is either used as fuel, left to decompose, or occasionally catches fire spontaneously.
